By automatically tracking and categorizing all transactions, Slingshot simplifies filings and taxes for our members. We handle most filings for our members (including 1099s, W-2s, and payroll filings in all 50 states) and provide pre-filled tax forms to make annual tax filings easy to complete in a matter of minutes. Our AI-driven bookkeeping engine also helps our members maximize deductions and save 10-30% of their taxes on average. 

Payroll & benefits
Members can add their team to payroll and gain access to premium benefits such as group-rate PPO health insurance, free telehealth with One Medical, and 401(k) retirement plans. They can set these up in just a few clicks, and Slingshot takes care of all the paperwork and regulatory compliance. This includes coverage for self-employed individuals, like creators and artists, who have historically struggled to secure comprehensive platinum/PPO health insurance plans at a reasonable cost.

Sanil Chawla is the founder and CEO of Slingshot, an innovative financial platform providing creatives with automated business infrastructure, streamlined payment operations, and comprehensive support to fully manage their finances at any scale. Sanil launched Slingshot in 2019, inspired by his experiences assisting diversity-focused research at the USC Annenberg Inclusion Initiative, where he met numerous talented artists and creatives struggling to navigate the complex financial and legal responsibilities associated with their growing careers.

Prior to Slingshot, Sanil founded Hack+, a nonprofit that equips students with the scalable resources and infrastructure necessary to launch their own nonprofits, events, and startups—born from his firsthand observation of the barriers young people face when transforming their ideas into real-world impact. His impact with Hack+ earned him recognition as the youngest member on the 2019 Forbes 30 Under 30 list in the Education category.
